Hai Peng Kopitiam, Kemaman

Finally I got the change to taste the famous Hai Pen Kopitiam that’s located in Kemaman Town. Following me was the Cherating Holiday Villa Team, Mr Khaled, Mr Ridzuan, Stanley, 3 vietnamese friends namely Tuan, Minh and Hoa. Those who haven’t heard of Kemaman, below is a quote from wikipedia.com.

Kemaman is a district in Terengganu, Malaysia. It is situated on the coast of the South China Sea. Kemaman district is bordered by Dungun to the north and the state of Pahang to the south.

I have the iced Coffee. It was thick and nice, not too sweet. They also have the Vietnamese, which my vietnamese friend said that it didn’t taste as good as the original vietnamese coffee.  We also ordered their famous Kaya Buns, which was also good. Sharp 6pm, they started closing the main gates, we are allowed to sit there until 7pm, but no new orders are allowed. They also sell ready to go coffee sachets.

A must visit place in Kemaman, Terengganu.

Flight To Cherating

Suppose to leave the house at 7.30am in the morning thinking that my flight departure was at 9.45am. After checking the flight slip, realised that that’s the arrival time, and departure was actually at 9.05am. Woke my brother up and had to rush to the airport, namely KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport). I was taking the Malaysian Airlines to Kuantan.

Thank god there were no traffic jam that morning, smooth all the way and my brother also convinced me that we’re suppose to be only 45 minutes earlier at the airport instead of the 1 hour that I thought.

At the airport, KLIA, I went straight to the check in counter for Domestic flights. An airport personal stopped me and told me to print out my boarding ticket. Everything is automated now, no need to wait in long queues for your bording tickets. There’s an interactive kiosk that can print the boarding ticket for you. Firstly, insert your online confirmation ticket number, check for your name, check for correct spelling, check for correct issuing country and proceed to print. The boarding ticket will then be printed out. Proceed to the check in counter to check in any bags if required.

I was suppose to take this flight along with 3 Vietnamese supplier for the new system that we’re installing at Cherating Holiday Villa. Since I could not find any 3 group guys looking like a Vietnamese, decided to proceed to the boarding room.

After scanning the boarding pass and a long stare at my face, the security personal allowed me to proceed to the boarding room. My boarding gate was 8A, and a flight number of 1268. There are many shops in there selling expensive and branded stuffs. From perfumes to designers’ bags. Looking at me dressed so casually, no one bothered to stop me for a sales.

The airport is quite well labelled and it’s easy to look for your boarding gate, only that you have miles and miles to walk. I think it took me 15 minutes to my boarding gate. Burger king had a stall there, Famous Amos had a stall there and of course some cafeteria which double or tripled their prices.

Upon arrival at the boarding gate, I searched for those vietnamese friends again, not knowing how they look. Finally decided to ask a group of 2 people and the only one with a camera, yes it was them.

The flight was delayed, we had to wait about an hour just to know what was going on. Kuantan was raining badly, so the pilot was adviced not to carry on with that flight until further notice. Finally at 11.30, we boarded the plane and had clearance for lift-off.

The view was marvellous from up there, you can see every river was flooded due to the monsoon season.

We arrived at Kuantan Airport at roughly 12.15pm. Mr Ridzuan from Cherating Holiday Villa picked us and from there, it’s another 45 minutes to the hotel.

First thing we did was to check in, dump our bags into our rooms and  Mr Khaled, the GM of Cherating holiday villa invited us for lunch.

Christmas Fever at KLCC

Every year I will look forward to the Christmas tree that KLCC, Kuala Lumpur City Centre put’s up. It’s nearly 3-4 storeys tall.

This year, early December they have started with a new christmas setting. I’m not sure what happen to their huge tree, but below are the photos of the setting.

Merry Christmas in Advance.

Disabled People Parking

Sometimes I just wonder how inconsidered a person can be. I used to curse at those who park at a disabled parking and come out of the car walking perfect fine, they are just too lazy to park at the proper place.

Today, during my visit to Tesco Setia Alam, guess what I saw at the disabled parking. All the trolleys were stacked there, exactly at the disabled parking spot. I believe this is not the fault of the customers but the Tesco workers who have compiled the trolleys there.

They should do something about this, it’s not fair to the disabled. Below is a photo of it, and it was the same on the other side of the disabled parking.

World AIDS Day 2009

I only knew that the world aids day was yesterday. When I googled for some details on it, the first website that came up was their official website, namely www.worldaidsday.org. The logo, or representation of this day is through a Red Ribbon, as below. I’m not sure why they choose the red ribbon. Everything is listed on their website.

- Know about the HIV Reality.
- Facts and Statistics.
- Share your stories.
- What you can do to help?
- Events and many more…

Some of the comments from HIV people are as follows, alot more can be obtained from their official website.

“They think my children have HIV, just because I do. They don’t. You can have healthy children even if you have HIV.” Leah, 30

“People think HIV is a death sentence. It isn’t. Like any illness or condition, providing it is caught in time there is no reason not to enjoy a normal healthy life.” Andy, 41

Eye Chart

I just realised that I’ve not been using any contact lenses for more than a year now. This has made my eyes very very blur, and recently I’ve been getting some migrane which could be caused by the blur vision. Decided to google only for some eye chart to test my eye, but I don’t think that it works from a computer monitor. Anyway, look at what I found. The clearer your eyes, to more you get to see :)
