I’ll be frank. I hate football alot that I don’t follow it at all. I don’t bet, I don’t know who the hell those player names are, I dont know which team is better and most importantly I dont give a damn about my lack of knowledge about Footie.

But this year, due to peer pressure and one of my friend who forced me to bet with her, I had to watch the Finals that had Spain met Holland. I let her choose which team she wanted, already owing her RM80 from previous matches, she selected Spain and the bet was RM30 per ball.

In the means of all this, there’s this incredible creature, namely Paul the Octopus who have to date predicted the winning team for a number of matches and managed to nail them all perfectly. How superb is this. Paul is probably worth millions now. Sushi anyone?

We went to a pub somewhere in Mentari area, very near the Leisure Commerce Square of Kelana Jaya. We started drinking Chivas even before the match started. They had to close the pub at 2.30am just when the Match started. I had to be home by 5.30am to get ready for work on Monday morning. Because of that, we decided to head to a place somewhere there. So we went to Leisure Commerce Square’s 7th floor pool centre. When we arrived the match was aready 20 minutes through, many people were there watching the game.

We had a bottle of Black Label, so we ordered some Coke and Ice to go along with the whiskey. The game was draw after the full 90 minutes and so extra time was added. To my surprise, or not actually, spain scored a goal and winning the World Cup in 2010 for the first time in History. I had printed a free postcard for the world cup and we handed out a couple of them to the fan.
