About Me
Thristhan.com started as a repository to key down all my thoughts and encounters of my unique and challenging life. A year later it concentrated on Travel and Food. Now with the addiction of eating and exploring new horizons, this has become one of Malaysia’s fast growing Travel and Food online hangout.
I started my travel journey at a ripe age of 15 in 1997 when I with my family went to live in the United Kingdom where I did my O’Levels. We lived in the Central Business District area in Bristol, England. Still too young to condsider writing, I only managed to experience the travel journeys without documenting anything. I was based there in UK for about 2 years exploring England, London and Paris.
Malaysia in general I have covered most of the states in Peninsular Malaysia, a couple of the Islands and a very small portion of Sabah. There a lot of good place that I’ve not taken the time to visit. This year (2011) I will covering some parts of Indonesia, Sarawak and Singapore.
I also had to opportunity to pursue my degree at the Outbacks of Australia which also gave me the chance to explore the lifestyle, culture and history of the Australians. Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast are a few of the place that I enjoy in Australia.
One of my goals is to pursue travelling as my full time job where I would be able to show my readers that at a very low cost, we can travel comfortably all around the world. Through Roadtrips and Backpacking from one place to another, I believe in another 5-10 years time, thristhan.com would in fact become a full-fledged infotainment centre for travelers and explorers.
On a future note, there are 2 tracks or series that I would like to document either for a TV show or a book. First is my experience in “Around the World in 80 Days” where I’ll be hopping from hotel to hostel, country site to outbacks, jungle to cities, flying and sailing around the world and all that in 80 days. With the proper planning and sponsors, I believe this will be possible one day. Secondly is to hitchhike backpackers style from Malaysia right up to United Kingdom walking through hard terrains, taking the public transports, staying in slums and with my laptop writing about the journey. I’m not sure whether anyone had done this already, but it would be my version.
So with that I do really hope that you enjoy reading my articles on my travel and food journey in Malaysia, Asia and around the World. If you have any questions about me or my blog, you can always Contact Me.
