If you happen to visit Cameron Highlands, do drop by their Tea plantation valleys which they are famous for. The biggest player there is Boh Plantation, but recently there is another competitor who is good themself and they are known as Bharat Tea Plantation Cameron Valley.

Located on a hilly area, the tea plants are placed at an optimum temperature which allows quality tea leaves to be grown. Bharat Tea Plantation is located somewhere between Habu (Ringlet) and Tanah Rata and since it’s just by the road side, it’s quite easy to detect. There are plenty of parking spaces at the plantation. There is no entrance fees to the Bharat Tea Plantation and they are open daily from 9am till late 6pm. The correct name for this tea centre is Cameron Valley Tea Plantations but it is often known as Bharat Tea Plantation as it is owned and operated by the Bharat Group.

Bharat Tea Plantation started their business in 1933 but then they only sold the unprocessed tea leaves to other companies to process them. Bharat only managed to process their own tea leaves in the 1950s. Today, there is a Tea Shop made available for visitors who get to consume delicious local Malaysian delicacies as well as freshly made tea. Visitors are also shown audio-video of the history of Bharat Tea Plantation and how they become one of the top tea producers in Malaysia. For those who love tea, they can buy themselves Bharat tea bags or tea leaves.

Other than the regular tea, special tea blends are also offered and are mixed with spices, such as Masala Chai and Cardamom Tea that each have a spicy taste. The shops are also stocked not just with Cameron Valley tea products, but also gift items such as hampers, books and souvenirs.
