Inception Deception

I read so many online reviews on this movie, and all if not most of it gave very good review for the movie. Frankly, the movie was ok, but not great. It was too long winded, I was sleeping halfway during the first half of the movie.

What I loved about the movie is that the Idea behind it. A few years back, a good friend and me was having a conversation on Dreams and how we were in control with them, creating whatever we like in that special world of ours. But what went through my mind or rather dream at that time was very hard for me to describe or explain in words. This movie explains that very clearly.

Multiple level dreaming. Frankly this is very possible, I’ve gone through 2 levels of dreaming. Waking up and only to find out that I’m actually still dreaming. I also had the ability to split myself into so many me in order to solve conversations and so on. Imaging talking to yourself, but each one has their own opinions.

I’m not sure how true it is when they mentioned that 5 minutes of sleep in the real life, is about 4 hours in our dream. I know once I only had about 5 minutes to sleep, and with that 5 minutes I sort of programmed my mind to believe that it was 1 hour instead. It could be meditating or self-hypnosis, I’m not too sure.

Leonardo is surely the best actor for this movie, the only alternative that I can think of right now is Keannu Reaves. Prince of Persia is still the movie of the year for me.

SALT’s full of Sugar

One of the best movies produced this year. Not only because it’s Angelina Jolie acting, but the whole story line is good as well. There’s a suspense towards the ending, but funnily enough, I suspected this was going to happen.

The whole movie is about a young Angelina being sent to taiwan, her parents had died in a car crash and she’s sent to some training school. Only to find out that she’s a spy. So goes against her creators and somehow manages to get revenge. I don’t want to talk alot about the story of the movie as it will kill the suspense.

Overall I still feel that Prince of Persia still stands as my favourite movie of the Year. Salt will be following close by at second place.

Eventhough Angelina looks quite old in this movie, and seems like she’s losing her figure. She still did a great acting in SALT.

The A Team

When I was a kid, in the early 90s, I used to enjoy watching the A-Team with my dad. It was one of those weekly series that we never missed. Along with those group were Macgyver, Knight Riders, Mission Impossible, Bill Cosby and so on. But my personal favourite was the A-Team, Mr T did a very good acting in it. People used to say I look like him. So not they call me Big T.

For Father’s Day last weekend, I decided to take dad for a movie to catch the A-Team. The movie was superb, funny from the beginning till the end. The actors that they selected for the movie was also great. They played their roles very well.

Only disappointment is that the movie seemed to have ended very fast. I guess I’ll just have to wait for the 2nd A-Team

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

I know not many know that this movie was derived from a video game quite sometime ago. Those who are below 15 may not have even heard of this game before. But for the others who are wiser (with that I mean older) would have surely played a game of Prince of Persia. The first time I played it was probably in the early 1990s, the graphic was then still in 2D. They improved it further to the 3D graphics later on.

I was going crazy when I heard last year that this movie is going to be released. I was one of the lucky few who managed to get tickets for an early show. The movie is basically about an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.

The Prince of Persia, namely Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal played this role and also the reason why many girls are watching this movie and going nuts). The guys on the other hand, get to see Gemma Arterton, who is a hotty and one of the Bond Girls.  Google her name to find out more.

The movie is set in the mystical lands of Persia, a rogue prince and a mysterious princess race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world. Imagine if we have this power here in Malaysia.

The Prince of Persia is far the best movie that I’ve seen in a very long time. I would say that it’s many times better than the latest talked about Iron Man 2. The graphics are amazing, the sound tracks are wonderful and the storyline is marvellous. The perfect partners to act in the movie too, Jake and Gemma had great chemistry in the movie, believeable. I’ll give it a staggering rate of 9.5 out of 10. I will not give details of the movie because we have to keep the suspense for those who have not watched it yet.
