Coffee Connexion SS22, Damansara Jaya

Last Saturday I was kinda free and decided to visit this restaurant cafe at ss22 in Damansara Jaya, simply named Coffee Connexion. Initially the concept of the cafe reminded me the Old Town White Coffee Cafe.

Their menu was quite unique, they had drinks that I’ve not heard any other cafe offers. Some examples are Fresh Detox where they mix Apple, Cucumber and Lemon together. A drink called Improve Digestion which comprised of Watermelom, Tomato and Prunes was also available. They also had Nutritious Spirulina and Fruits as a drink too. Not knowing what to order I went for their Pineapple Lemonade which tasted great.

The first dish that I tried was the Beef Lasagna which was not that tasty, the flour slices were slightly burnt at the bottom. Later found out that they outsource the Lasagnas. Not satisfied I decided to try their recommended dish which was the Nasi Lemak Ayam. Frankly, this was probably one of the best Nasi Lemaks that I’ve ever had in my life. The rice had tasty coconut milk and pandan leaf aroma to it and they were cooked such that each grain were separated (the rice did not stick together). The Coffee Connexion was owned by a couple who started this place since 2 years ago. And most of the food offered here are homemade by this aunty who also spent some time explaning to me how she prepares the food.

She mentioned that she cooks 4 types of pumpkin dishes which were their signature dishes too. Fried Noodle Pumpkin, Pumkpin Muffins, Pumpkin Cake (sort of like yam cake) with dry prawn and Chicken Porridge with pumpkin. I did not have a chance to try them because they sell off very fast. She mentioned that The Coffee Connexion is open daily from 7am onwards, and the peak time is always the breakfast time where most of her pumpkin specially made dishes will be sold out by 8am.

This restaurant or cafe is also certified Halal and there is WiFi services available. I did try the internet connection there and it was quite fast. There are smoking and non-smoking sections to the cafe where it is air-conditioned. There was also a Star Newspaper cutting on the wall and it seems her famous fish ball soup was featured in the food section in that paper.

The Coffee Connexion in Damansara Jaya is open daily from 7am till 11pm everyday except on Sundays they close earlier to spend more time with the family. The waiters there are very kind too, they do recommend the right food that we should try. So the next time you’re around Damansara Jaya area, do go and try this Coffee Connexion Cafe out and they are located on Jalan ss22/25.

As for the pricing, they were fairly cheap. My total bill came to only RM27. Mushroom Soup was at RM4, Nasi Lemak Ayam at RM7.90, Beef Lasagna at RM9.90 and Pineapple Lemonade at RM5.90.
