Flaming Steamboat, Sunway

On the eve of Chinese New Years this year, the Bonafide Academy team decided to chill with Azam and his family. It’s been ages since we had an outting like this and had the chance to also meet his son, Putera Azad Mifdal.

The team consisted of myself, G, Jin, Azam, His Wife, His Son, Aiman (my beloved business leader) and Aiman’s friend (Sorry can’t remember her name at this point).

Flaming Steamboat is always packed with people, make sure you have a reservation beforehand. This restaurant is of course Halal so the muslims can dine here too. The steamboat is in the style of buffet so you only pay something between RM20 and RM25 to enjoy all you can consume service.

What was in store for us was a line of fried stuffs, including sausages, nuggets, noodles, chicken wings, chicken drummettes. One section was on all the ball stuffs like fish ball, chicken ball, mushrooms, seafood (crab, prawns, mussles, squid), meat stuffs (marinated chicken, marinated beef), vegetables and so on. There was also a huge ice cream container with 5 delicious choices of ice cream flavour. For drinks, you get carbonated drinks like 100 plus, coke, orange and also other cordial drinks.

The Flaming Steamboat Restaurant gives us an option on the regular soup or the tom yum flavoured soup.

It terms of the location and service, I give them a 7/10. In terms of the food itself, I probably only give them a 5/10. It was tasty, but frankly I’ve tasted better, and as a food blogger I would have to mention the truth.

I went to the Danau Kota Branch on new year . Terrible service there. Cups and glass not clean nor dried properly. A lot of food advertised not found there.

I think sunway branch should be better

@Smallkucing, Yeah, I agree with you. Everything was messy and selections were limited. Restaurant Talipon at Kuchai Lama gave a better deal at the similar price. But they included a tepanyaki buffet along with the steamboat.
