Mini Siam Pattaya, Thailand

One of the highlight of my trip to Pattaya Thailand was the Mini Siam. This is where you get to see the miniature of many famous landmarks of the world in one single location. A perfect way to deceive your friends by covered many countries in one single location.

Mini Siam Pattaya as the name suggest is located in the heart of Pattaya. You’ll probably need to take a cab there and the entrance fees is higher for foreigners they try to milk us to boost their company income. Foreigners are priced at Bath 300.00 (RM30) and Bath 100.00 (RM10) for a Thai citizen.

From Bangkok town, you can take a express bus to North Pattaya which will be a comfortable 2 hours journey and the Mini Siam is located just opposite the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. It is easily recognised by the huge statues right at the edge of the road. It is roughly 30 minutes away from the famous Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Village.

You will need roughly 2 hours to complete the entire park and do bring along drinking water as you’ll feel exhausted. Also do wear comfortable footwear because you’ll need to walk a lot. We covered the whole area in roughly 80 minutes. You can enjoy the Mini Siam either at day time, or night time where the lights will be turned on.

We decided to explore this place during the night, which was probably a bad idea because for photography with a standard digital camera, you’ll need sufficient light. The Mini Siam Pattaya is open daily from 7am till 10pm.

Initially in the 1980s, the Mini Siam only featured miniatures of local Thailand sculptures, but recently, they also started to include many worldwide sculptures and landmarks. To name a few of this world renown landmarks, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Temple of Heavens of Beijing, Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, Leaning Tower of Pisa, and so on.

If you’re going through tours, they might charge you extra for the transportation, I would suggest that you explore it on your own and it’s pretty simply to get to North Pattaya from Bangkok.
