Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Village, Pattaya

During my trip to Bangkok Thailand last year and not having made enough room night booking for the hotel, we decided to head towards Pattaya through a 2 hours bus journey and see what’s good there. The first thing that a Cab driver recommended was the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden which is about 30 minutes drive away from the heart of Pattaya and also the Mini Siam Pattaya.

The first thing when you talk about Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Village is that they are famous for the Elephant shows and Thai cultural shows that are famous worldwide. Other than that, they also host one of the largest and most beautiful botanical garden in Southeast Asia. The Nong Nooch Paradise has one of the biggest collection of Flora and Fauna including the largest variety of Orchids, world largest Palm collection and many more. The tropical garden are being constantly developed and now a year later, there are a lot of new editions to Nong Nooch.

You will need one whole day at the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden of you really want to cover all the good things they have there. Do make sure that you go for the Nong Nooch Show which consist of Traditional shows, religious ceremonies, martial arts, and the amazing Elephant show. They are done 4 times a day and you will experience the Elephants playing basketballs, football, creative paintings, darts, dancing and many more. For a small donation, you can feed them and take photographs with this Elephants at Nong Nooch while they carry you using their trunk.

Initially I was really sad seeing this animals being made use of in order to entertain the crowd, it even seemed like the trainer were using sharp objects to make sure that they follow the instructions properly. But later did I find out that without this team taking care and coming with this Elephant Shows at Nong Nooch Garden Village, they would be stranded in a jungle and hardly survive. I’m kinda happy that this creatures are well taken care off here.

There are Restaurants and Cafes in Nong Nooch Garden so do not worry about needing to drive far for them. The whole park itself might take you 1-2hours walk, so do enjoy every inch of it. There are landscape arts everywhere and lately there is a new edition to it named the Sports Car Expo. Thailand’s famous Songkran Festival was also held here early this year.

For contact and pricing details, you’ll do best if you can Google for them because I probably paid a higher rate because it was through a middle person and that included the taxi drive and so on.

  3. Nice place to visit with plenty to do and experience but you know what, I have not been here before. Well, maybe by the end year, trying to make a trip but ah, my hubby and his busy schedule seems so difficult to fit a holiday at times, so meanwhile, I enjoy experiencing cooking and bringing out recipes.

  11. [...] From Bangkok town, you can take a express bus to North Pattaya which will be a comfortable 2 hours journey and the Mini Siam is located just opposite the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. It is easily recognised by the huge statues right at the edge of the road. It is roughly 30 minutes away from the famous Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Village. [...]
