Photo Of The Day: Malacca Water Wheel
If you’ve passed by Malacca and seen many of their amazing historic remainings, you will surely notice this huge Malacca Water Wheel which is known as Melaka Malay Sultanate Water Wheel. This water wheel is only walking distant away from the Christ Church Malacca and the Samudera Maritime Museum.
This wheel faces the Malacca River where the Malacca River Boat Ride takes you. This is where the International ports were located that connects the eastern and western countries ages ago. This Malacca Water Wheel is about 13 meters in diameter and is used at fast moving rivers such as the Malacca River to provide water for the traders when they stop here for food and shelter.
Some might be asking, why doesn’t this Water Wheel move anymore? The answer is simple, this is actually a Replica of the original water wheel what was made available in Malacca so many years back. With that, I present to you today’s photo of the day, the malacca water wheel.

@ken The night shot would be better, just that I’m using a regular camera, so the color is not that clear.
