Klang as many Malaysians know is one of the heavens for food. You can get absolutely any sort of food being it Chinese, Indian, Malay, Western, Fusion, you just name it, we have it. Klang other than the famous Bak Kut Teh, we are probably famous for Chinese Styled Seafood. For my Malay or rather Islam friends, one particular Halal seafood restaurant that I enjoy dining at is the one at Jeram, Selangor and I’ll give you an insight of that on another post.

For today, I’ll be featuring this particular Seafood Restaurant that is located at Klang Utama simply calling themselves the Seafood Happiness Restaurant Klang Utama. And as they name themself, after eating here you will put on a great smile and be happy for sure. There are no reservations required, but if you’re planning to have a meal here during festival season like the Chinese New Years, Mother’s Day and so on, do make advanced reservation because this place will surely be packed.

It is fairly easy to get to this Seafoods Happiness Restaurant as it is accessible from the main road at Jalan Kapar. So if you’re coming from Klang, head towards Kapar town on Jalan Kapar. Look out for the turning to Klang Utama, roughly about 15 minutes drive from Klang town. One landmark that you will pass is the Carrefour Kapar. Once you get into the Klang Utama road, the Seafoods Happiness Restaurant will be visible on your right.

One of their signature dishes is the Guinness Pork Ribs, which is sweetish in taste. When we dine here, the must dish is their Sweet and Sour Pork which is crispy. Their Buttered Prawns are also recommended, but sometimes we go for something different like the Spicy Prawns. You may also want to their their Seafood Tom Yum which comes with huge servings of Prawns, Squids, Fish pieces and Chicken. Their Tom Yum is prepared with coconut milk so it’s very curryish and tasty indeed. Their fish dishes such as sweet sour fish, thai styled fish and so on is also good, but can be costly. Want something exotic? Then try their Mantis Prawn Yam Basket, well prepared and mouth watering dish.

In terms of price, the Seafood Happiness Restaurant can be quite costly, especially when compared to their nearby competitors such as Yu Kee Seafood Restaurant on Jalan Batu Belah. But you will surely be satisfied for what you paid. Averagely, a family of 5 would be expected to pay around RM150 for a 6 dish course.
