Sri Pelangi Restaurant, Cherating
What I love about Cherating is the superb Tom Yum that they prepare. Most of them do the ones that are light in color, but once you taste it, it’s super spicy. Sea food here are also good, but don’t expect it to be cheap. Being a person from Klang, I still believe we have the best seafood in terms of taste and price.
During my stay at Cherating Beach area, we booked a room at Cherating Holiday Villa and visited this spoken about restaurant, Sri Pelangi Restaurant. I was told that they have one of the best Tomyum around this area, and being a tomyum fan, I had to try it.
As mentioned, it was probably one of the best tomyum I’ve tasted (but cannot compare to the one in Thailand). We also tried their nasi goreng kampung which good too. We decided to try the Soup Ekor, which was slightly sour. According to my brother, it usually taste like that.
So to those travelling towards the East of Peninsular Malaysia, do check out Sri Pelangi Restaurant. It’s only 5 minutes drive up towards Kemaman from Holiday Villa and Legend Cherating.
