Teluk Batik Sitiawan, Perak
One of the places to visit in Sitiawan Perak is a beach called Teluk Batik. I’m not really sure what’s the history behind naming it such, but I’m quite sure you find no batik designs there.
The beach is roughly about 15 minutes away from the main town area.
I still remember going here as a kid and at that time, there were no shops, no snoorkeling centres, no parking fees etc. Now everything is commercialized. There’s a small fee for parking, which is RM1 per entry.
At the beach, you are able to rent floating devices and even try out the Banana Boat. Ice-cream man, food stalls, drinks are all available there. There are even good washroom facilities (you can take a clean shower after playing in the sea). There are also resorts and from what I heard, price ranges RM80 onwards. Teluk Batik is also filled with monkeys so becareful with your items as they will steal them.
At one end of the beach, there are rocks where you can climb up to and the view there is superb. Not many people go to this area, so the water is not polluted yet. We managed to catch quite a number of fishes, some up to 6 inches in length. Check out the photos below.

If only they promote Teluk Batik as one of the tourist destination, instead of leaving it like it is …. some random ornaments and food stalls wont get this place far. Even the seashell museum looked mundane and not opened.
J2Kfm: I agree bro, they have to do something with this place to revive it
wow… so many interesting places to go!
