Yu Kee Seafood Restaurant, Batu Belah, Klang
Yu Kee Seafood Restaurant is located on the famous Batu Belah road in Klang. It’s about 10 minutes drive away from the Carrefour Kapar on Jalan Kapar. If you’re coming from Kuala Lumpur, it will take you 45 minutes on a clear road. We decided to take Mum here on Mother’s Day after she heard from her friends that this was a great place to get chinese food, and the crab there was amazing.
First Impressions when we got there was that since there were many tables occupied, the food must surely taste good, and to our surprise it was delicious indeed. The preparation took them roughly 45 minutes after we ordered, which was quite a long wait for us when comparing to other chinese restaurants.
We ordered the Guinness Stout Pork, which was a stir fried pork with a sweetish soya sauce and a dash of guinness beer sprinkled all around it. For those who can consume pork, they will surely love this dish. Then we had to order something on the vegetable menu and it was Mixed Vegetable, nothing special about it. Lemon Chicken was also suggested, and it did taste good, the meat was soft and the lemon sauce just right. We decided to go for fish this time, and after much argument, we ordered the fish in the style of Assam Pedas, which is a sourish spicy curry based sauce. Very famous in Thailand. Buttered Prawns was next on the menu, but frankly, I’ve tasted better cooking at other chinese restaurants. Last and most important dish was the Crab Fried with Dried Chillies. This was obviously the best dish from the lot, it was so good that it was one of their most ordered dishes. We requested 1.5kgs of crab, but due to it being so famous, be the time it was out turn, we only managed to get a few pieces of the crab.
The total bill came to RM140 which was reasonable. But at places like Teluk Gong and Pulau Ketam, prices will be way lower.
Anyhow, I’ll surely come back to this Yu Kee Seafood Restaurant again and most probably order 2kgs of crabs all for myself.

lemon chicken and buttered prawns would be my fav
